What’s the festival all about?
The Arts Learning Festival celebrates the importance of the arts in education. It is hosted biennially by Independent Schools Victoria, which represents almost 220 schools, and we invite schools from all sectors to take part. This year's theme is Reimagine, Recreate, Renew. After the upheavals of 2020, we think the theme strikes an important note of optimism, where the festival can be the vehicle for students to envision a new and positive future.
When is the festival?
The festival is hosted biennially by Independent Schools Victoria. In 2021, we are providing more flexibility than ever before, delivering the festival in three phases throughout the school year: Phase 1 (24–28 May), Phase 2 (26–29 July) and Phase 3 (early September). Many of the events will also provide valuable resources and materials than can be used by students and schools at any time.

Photography and video
For in person events later in the year, we may take photographs and video for promotional purposes. If you do not want to be photographed or filmed, please let us know ahead of the event so we can ensure it doesn’t happen.
