This year’s Student Film Festival brought together a wide range of ideas, styles and voices. Each category showcases how students are learning to tell stories through film in their own way.
Students in the junior years tried out different ways of using sound, image and narrative. Their films reveal a growing sense of how to build a story and share it with an audience.
Selected films were shortlisted from more than 100 entries overall. Final judging was undertaken by education staff at ACMI.
Here we present all the winners and finalists in the Junior Years (3-6) category:
‘This is such a fun and creative mockumentary. The host was super confident and hilarious, and we loved all the different characters—especially the book and the scientist. Great editing and some really clever shots too. Overall it was super entertaining and a really cool take on why libraries matter.’
