Thank You Seasons
by Jaydon Lubinbert, Casey Grammar School
Finalist, Years 5 – 6, written poetry
Summer sun blazes,
Waves are crashing at the shore,
The sky glows azure.
Autumn paints the trees,
Crimson leaves blanket the streets,
Creatures are slow.
Peace wraps in all white,
The streets are covered in snow,
Winter silence falls.
Flowers slowly bloom,
Petals dance on morning breeze,
Springs warmth heals trees.
Thank you, seasons-old and new-,
For all the grace you carry through.
‘Each stanza, an evocative haiku that paints a distinct mood, inviting the reader to experience each season intimately.’
