No more Trees
by Jade Josev-Delaney, Antonio Park Primary School
Winner, Years 3 – 4, performance poetry
No more trees means no more bees
Means no more leaves, means no more breeze
Means no one breathes, means cough and sneeze
Means hospitals packed full.
No more trees means no more wood
Means houses are just not as good
Means no more timber, tar, and gravel
Means the world just does unravel.
No more trees means no more lives
Means all the animals, they just die.
So no more cutting down the trees.
All the kids, they all say “Please!”
I just hope we can all agree
We all want to live and breathe.
‘A compelling call to action, well delivered and demands to be heard.’
