‘Crow Eating a Persimmon’ by Ohara Koson, c.1910
Crow, with feathers of midnight,
Fruit with stunning colour,
Sturdy branches stooping low,
Faded parchment,
Crinkled with time.
The Crow,
Bowing low
Pecks the fruit at its disposal
The persimmon,
pop with the juice held within them,
Catching the crow unaware.
The crow,
A resemblance of “the raven”
